Home Renovation
& Refurbishment
From a kitchen that actually works to a complete open-plan transformation — we manage every trade, every detail, from first fix to final snag. One contract, one point of contact, zero chaos.
Internal Transformations Managed from First Fix to Final Snag
The internal refurbishment market in Bath is full of contractors who manage their own trade and leave you to coordinate the rest. We do the opposite. Under a single Aspect contract, we coordinate every discipline — structural, electrical, plumbing, plastering, tiling, joinery, decorating — to a planned programme, with weekly progress updates and a defined handover process. The result is a finished space delivered on time and to the specification you agreed, not the one that emerged from a succession of independent trades.
- Full multi-trade coordination under one fixed-price contract
- Itemised specification agreed before any work begins
- Planned programme with weekly progress reporting
- Comprehensive snag list and formal handover at completion
Kitchen Fitting, Bathrooms
& Full Renovation
Whether you need a single room transformed or an entire property refurbished, we apply the same project management rigour at every scale.
Full Property Refurbishments
A whole-home refurbishment is the most complex internal project a homeowner can undertake — and the one most likely to go wrong when managed piecemeal. We take on the full scope: stripping, structural alterations, rewiring and replumbing, insulation upgrades, new internal finishes from floor to ceiling, and final decoration. Managed under one contract, to one programme, with one person answering the phone.
- Full-scope whole-home refurbishment programmes
- Rewire and replumb coordination within the refurb programme
- Insulation upgrades and damp remediation
- Internal finishes — plastering, flooring, joinery, decoration
Bespoke Kitchen Design & Installation
A kitchen is the most used room in the house and the one that adds the most value when done properly. We design, supply, and install bespoke kitchens — coordinating the cabinetry, worktops, tiling, appliances, lighting, and plumbing as a single integrated project rather than a sequence of separate trades arguing over whose responsibility the leaking pipe is.
- Kitchen design, supply, and full installation
- Premium cabinetry and bespoke worktop fabrication
- Appliance integration and specialist lighting
- Tiling, flooring, and plastering within the kitchen programme
Luxury Bathrooms & Wetrooms
A poorly waterproofed bathroom is one of the most expensive problems a homeowner faces — damp ingress behind tiles rarely becomes visible until significant structural damage has already occurred. We specify the waterproofing system first, then design the bathroom around it, coordinating the tanking, tiling, plumbing, heated towel rails, sanitaryware, and decorative finishes to a single quality standard.
- Wetroom and walk-in shower installations
- Full bathroom design, supply, and installation
- Premium large-format tiling and specialist grout specification
- Underfloor heating and heated towel rail installation
Open-Plan Reconfigurations
Removing a load-bearing wall or internal partition to create open-plan living requires structural engineering input, temporary propping, and precise RSJ or structural steel installation — not just a saw and confidence. We coordinate the structural engineer's design, manage the temporary works, install the steel, and make good the ceiling, walls, and floor to a seamless finish. The result looks effortless. The process behind it isn't.
- Load-bearing wall removal and RSJ beam installation
- Structural engineer design coordination
- Temporary propping and structural steel fabrication
- Making good — ceiling, walls, floor — to seamless standard
Refurbishing Period Homes Requires a Different Approach
Bath's Georgian and Victorian properties present specific internal challenges that newer buildings don't — lime plaster walls that cannot accept standard plasterboard fixings, hidden chimney breasts that affect structural calculations, original floorboard systems that need careful treatment, and heritage joinery that deserves restoration rather than replacement. Our team understands how these buildings were built and how to work with them, not against them. The result is a refurbished interior that feels authentically of the building rather than imposed upon it.
- Lime plaster repair and matching lime skim finishing
- Original timber floor restoration and gap filling
- Heritage joinery restoration — doors, shutters, cornicing
- Chimney breast removal or retention with structural assessment
“Older property, kitchen with apex ceiling. Very pleased with the professional finish, friendly team. I was asked before painting commenced what I would like. All surfaces fully protected and covered, no mess left. Impressed with the high standard.”

What's included in a full refurbishment?
Everything under one contract: kitchens, bathrooms, structural changes (removing walls, adding steel), electrics, plumbing, plastering, flooring, and decoration. One project manager coordinates every trade, so you're not chasing separate contractors or gaps between them.
Do I need to move out during a refurbishment?
Not usually. Most of our refurbishment projects happen in occupied homes — we isolate work areas, dust-sheet, and phase the work so you only have one room out of action at a time where possible. Full gut renovations are the exception, and we'll tell you honestly if that's what your project needs.
Can you refit a kitchen and bathroom at the same time?
Yes — it's one of the most common combinations we're asked for. Running both simultaneously under one team and one timeline is usually faster and less disruptive than doing them as two separate projects months apart.
How do you handle structural changes during a refurbishment, like removing a wall?
Any load-bearing wall gets a proper structural assessment before we touch it — sometimes that means a structural engineer's calculations and Building Control sign-off for the steel beam that replaces it. We manage that process as part of the fixed-price quote, not as a separate appointment you have to arrange.
What's the typical timeline for a full house refurbishment?
A single kitchen or bathroom refit runs 3-6 weeks. A full house refurbishment — every room, structural changes included — typically takes 3-6 months depending on scope. You get a clear timeline alongside your fixed-price quote before work starts, not a rolling estimate.
